Our Mission
Cookeville Queer Closet™ serves as an organization that provides free clothing, and hygiene products for our local community with a focus on providing a safe environment for our LGBT+ community members to find resources that may be difficult to access in rural areas.
We are located in Cookeville, but anyone in need regardless of where they live is welcome.
We are an organization that provides a space to help our lgbt+ community to be able to have access to get free gender affirming clothing or hygiene items in a judgement free environment. Any person in need in the Upper Cumberland is welcome to attend if they can maintain a judgement free zone. Gently used clothing donations are accepted the first 10 days of every month. Clean bras and binders are accepted but underwear, socks, and swimwear must be new in packaging to be accepted.
*We only stock adult-size clothing. If you’d like to donate or are in need of kids clothing; we recommend reaching out to other local organizations.
